EMDM Academy
The EMDM Academy is an international community of research, educational, operational, and international organizations, both public as private, involved in disaster and/or humanitarian medicine.
The EMDM Academy's mission is to support the development of Disaster Medicine as an academic discipline, with specific interest to Humanitarian Medicine and to improve the quality of health prevention/mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery in emergency and disaster situations, basing skills and knowledge of health providers on scientific evidence, acquired from research and field experience.
EMDM Academy achieves this mission by serving as a meeting and communication forum for its members and by intitating and coordinating collaborative projects between Members of the EMDM Academy.
EMDM Academy works closely together with the EMDM-European Master in Disaster Medicine and the EMDM Alumni organisation. Supporting these organisations is a key objective of the EMDM Academy.
The EMDM Academy is a not-for-profit organisation under Swiss Law. The secretariat of the EMDM Academy is hosted by the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève.
